How can birds travel halfway around our planet without a map or street directory? They are not capable of seeing such great distances and the weather at times would negate eyesight as a means to see their way home. It is obvious that they are being fed some sort of information that tells them the way to go.

What is this information? Where is it coming from? What part of the birds brain is receiving this information and how is the bird utilising this source of assistance as it navigates it's way?

Magnetic Fields.......... the secret energy from deep within the Earth that talks to our birds.

With our technical advances in recent years, especially in the space & electronic research fields, it is now possible to know the strength of the magnetic field on just about any planet in our solar system. We have the instrumentation and know-how to be able to do this.

Let's look a little deeper into this energy that allows birds to circle the globe, returning to the same ledge, nest or tree every breeding season, up to 12,000 miles in distance.

Some species of birds follow the sun. They spend the summer in the far north Arctic areas such as Canada, Alaska or Russia, then follow the sun south to spend the Southern Hemisphere summer in places like Argentina, New Zealand Australia and Tasmania.

When you finish reading this paragraph, go back and look at the picture of the our planet at the top of the page. Three quarters of the Earth is covered by water. There are no signposts there to show the way, yet millions of birds cross these oceans successfully on a regular basis, just the same as you or I do when we walk to the corner shop to buy a six-pack.
